Mary Ellen Ditchey

Biography

Mary Ellen joined the Ohio Bar in 2011 after graduating from Ohio Northern Law School. She was admitted to the Federal Bar to practice in the United States Southern District in 2017. Mary Ellen worked as an assistant prosecuting attorney for the Montgomery County felony division.

During her time as a prosecutor, she handled felonies from indictment to sentencing. She tried numerous jury cases from murder to theft. After leaving the prosecutor’s office, Mary Ellen practiced in the litigation department for a large personal injury law firm in Dayton, Ohio.

With the experience of both criminal and civil law, Mary Ellen worked as “of counsel” for a general practice law firm located in Dayton. Her areas of practice included criminal defense (both misdemeanor and felony), juvenile cases (delinquency and custody), and personal injury.

Mary Ellen was raised in Warren, Ohio, and is a proud graduate of Howland High School. She has returned to her hometown eager to assist the needs of the community.
